What do you want Freedom From?
Sometimes progress is less about learning something new and more about becoming free from what is getting in the way. Fear, anxiety, self-doubt, unwanted habits and unhelpful patterns can quietly limit what you do, how you perform and what you believe is possible.
This programme is designed to help you break free from those barriers, giving you greater choice, confidence and control, so you can face situations more calmly, make decisions more clearly and get on with doing the things you want to do.
Freedom from fear and phobias
Fear of flying, heights, spiders, needles, driving, public speaking, confined spaces, social situations and other specific fears.
Freedom from anxiety and stress
Constant worrying, overthinking, feeling on edge, performance anxiety and finding it difficult to switch off.
Freedom from unwanted habits
Nail biting, skin picking, nervous habits and other behaviours that have become difficult to stop.
Freedom from self-doubt
Lack of confidence, fear of failure, worrying about what others think and holding yourself back despite knowing you can do more.
Freedom from poor sleep
Racing thoughts at night, difficulty getting to sleep, waking during the night and unhelpful sleep patterns.
Freedom from avoidance
Putting things off, avoiding situations you know you should face, or repeatedly finding reasons not to do something.
Freedom from unwanted patterns
Reactions, thoughts and behaviours that seem to happen automatically, even when you know they aren't helping.
How can I help?
The aim is not to make you forget your problems or turn you into a mysteriously calm person who enjoys airport security. It is to help you gain greater control over how you respond, so you can move towards the things you want to achieve rather than being held back by old patterns.
Whether your goal is to overcome a fear, change an unwanted habit, improve confidence, perform more effectively or simply feel more in control, the work starts with understanding what is getting in the way and what you want to achieve instead.
My main tool is Mindfulness Based Clinical Hypnotherapy. I am both a trained Mindfulness Instructor and Clinical Hypnotherapist. I use Mindfulness to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions and automatic reactions without immediately getting caught up in them. Clinical hypnotherapy can then be used to work with the patterns behind those reactions, helping you develop different responses that are more useful to you.
What to Expect
Over the initial four sessions, we’ll explore the issue you’re facing, understand what’s keeping it in place and work out how best to overcome it. The first session can last up to 90 minutes, with the following sessions typically lasting around an hour.
The work doesn’t stop when the session ends. You’ll practise between sessions using a personalised audio recording and, where appropriate, a few simple techniques to support the changes we’re working towards. Nothing ridiculous, no three-mile runs or standing on one leg for hours. Just practical exercises designed to help you move forwards.
Most people begin to notice changes within these first few sessions. If you feel you’d benefit from further support, additional sessions are available at an additional cost.
