The Mindfulness Now programme although structured is fully adaptable to

meet the needs of different participants. This is an outline program

Week One ‘Waking Up’

There is a bit of admin and then a chat about what Mindfulness is and isn’t. We will discuss how it can help and start you on the process of waking up to the present moment.

Week Two ‘Awareness of our bodies’

With so much going on around us, do we take time to really experience how and what we are feeling; mentally and physically. This is where we start to explore.

Week Three “Focus on the body -moving’

Don’t worry it’s not circuit training or a ten-mile run. We move all the time (even when we are asleep) yet we rarely take any notice. Let’s start to notice some of those most common movements.

Week Four ‘Choosing how you react’

The only choice you truly have to how you react. But why do we react the way we do? Can we change how we react? I have some good news.

Week Five ‘Being with what is difficult’

Everyone’s definition of what is difficult is different. You can’t just magic things away but Mindfulness can help you develop more useful ways of dealing with these challenges.

Week Six ‘Building resilience’

We’ll take about resilience and how Mindfulness helps in the process of effectively coping with adversity.

Week Seven ‘Looking after myself’

It’s not selfish, it’s the only way to be in any sort of position to do anything else. We’ll discus what you can do to feel better about your world.

Week Eight ‘The power of compassion’

As we draw this part of your journey to a close, we discuss how compassion to yourself and others opens so many doors for you.
